Marvel Comics is closing the Marvel Digital Comics Store starting June 2, although readers will still have access to their books.
Marvel Comics announced the closure of its Marvel Digital Comics store at comicstore.marvel.com starting June 2.
According to Marvel Customer Support, after the shutdown, readers will still be able to purchase digital Marvel titles and access existing titles through the Marvel Comics app and through comiXology.
Marvel also provided the following instructions:
To purchase Marvel digital comics after June 2:
- Download the Marvel Comics app from the App Store or Google Play Store, and/or
- Visit comixology.com
To read your existing Marvel digital comics library after June 2:
- View your past purchases in “My Books” when you log into your account on the Marvel Comics app, and/or
- Sync your current Marvel Digital Comics Shop account with a comiXology account to continue reading your books on a web browser
Despite the closure of the digital storefront, those wishing to redeem the free digital codes in physical copies of Marvel comics can continue to do so through Marvel.com/redeem to view their titles through the Marvel Comics app or through their comiXology accounts. linked.
